Topical preparations are dosage forms applied to the skin for local therapy. These topical contain several types of bases that used drug formulations. This review aimed determine type base is effective and widely in basil leaf function as antioxidants, antibacterial agents, wound healing. The research method comparative, namely, reviewing articles on formulations products with various concentrations types, hydrogels, emulgels, lotions, hydrocarbons, water solubility, absorption, washing, M/A-type creams, pastes. recommended formulation a gel has physical characteristics, non-irritating properties, antioxidant activity, contained published last 10 years.
